5 REASONS TO BUY PHILIPS DEFIBRILLATORS

Ease of Use:

  • No Prescription Required for OnSite AED unit only, unless using Pediatric Pad cartridges (under 8-yrs or 55 lbs.)
  • User Friendly for even inexperienced responders confronted during a cardiac emergency. A Philips AED recognizes when the pads are removed and placed on the victim, directing the rescuer to place the pads on the patient and will repeat the instruction until the action is performed, without skipping ahead. Plus has icons with specific symbols to assist you when necessary.
  • Life Guidance CPR Coaching helps give you the confidence to act quickly and lead the way to save a life. The Philips AED provides an audible sound or “beat” for each compression, counting so that the rescuer can just focus on the victim. Plis it keeps up with an experienced lay responder with no delay.<

SMART Technology:

  • Quick Shock will deliver a shock typically in 8-10 seconds. Other AEDs could take up to 3 times longer.Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a very time sensitive event which requires a quick and efficient response.
  • SMART Analysis automatically assesses heart rhythm to determine if a shock is needed; plus shock cannot be administered upon pressing the button unless the device says “shock is advised, stand clear”.
  • SMART Biphasic Technology combines High Current for effectiveness and Low Energy to reduce the risk of stunning a vulnerable heart.
  • Chest Impedance Adjusted Waveform with intelligent sensors delivering the right therapy based on a person’s body type; delivering a shock with 150 joules for adults and 50 joules for individuals/children 55 pounds and under. Philips is the only AED with the ability to measure BMI to adjust the level of amps delivered depending on muscle impedance, minimizing post event side effects caused by too powerful of a shock.
  • Pacemaker Artifact Detection . Pad placement is suggested next to the pacemaker, not directly on the raised area of the object./li>

Cost of Ownership/Design Preferences:

  • OnSite AED is one of the least expensive AED devices on the market today; primarily used for indoor locations.
  • FRx AED has a rugged design for outdoor use on metal and wet surfaces; withstanding a 500 pound crush test rating.
  • FR3 AED has either a LCD Test & EKG Screen, with optional Q-CPR Measurement & Feedback design.
  • Accessory Replacement is competitive if not lower than competitors resulting in overall lower cost of ownership.

Self Checks:

  • 85 Self-Checks Daily, Weekly, and Monthly . Most AEDs perform only weekly self tests. The Philips AED conducts much more to ensure that the device is always ready for a cardiac emergency.
  • Blinking Green Light indicates the unit has conducted a recent self-test, in working order, and operational.
  • Audible Chirp or Flashing Light alerting you if the AED device is not functioning properly. Pressing the blue “i” button will specify the assistance needed. Philips Warranty department can be contacted to assist the owner in determining what should be done to make the device operational, if it’s replacing the pads, battery, or other situation.

AED Warranty:

  • OnSite and FRx AED unit has an 8-year warranty
  • FR3 AED unit has a 5-year warranty
  • Shelf-life Battery has a 5-year warranty
  • Installed Battery has a 4-year warranty
  • Adult and Infant/Child Pads have a 2-year warranty
